Hotelier turned blogger.

I love travelling – but then who doesn’t?

I am full of anticipation every time I get ready to set off. It’s the adrenaline of the unknown, the excitement of seeing new places, the joy of meeting new people. People with a different background, with different values, sometime of different race and different color. I always look forward to discovering new facets of reality, see how nature and man work together, how culture reflects in food, architecture and social interaction.

But most of all, I want to understand how local culture has shaped the hospitality-scape. As a veteran hotelier by now, I always look to discover niche concepts, hotels with personality that capture the essence of their surroundings and hoteliers who know how to translate heritage into vibrant hospitality that makes one’s stay truly memorable.

During my travels and hotel stays, I discovered some hidden gems in little B&Bs that made me rave for weeks or months at time, ultra-luxurious hotels that left me speechless, but just as well hospitality venues full of pretense that leverage on world-famous luxury brands – which, somehow, I failed to understand.

I’ll have it all laid out here, one at a time, as we took on different adventures across geographies and cultures. Stay tuned I’d say…
